Hello.

Well Madison turned 5 couple weeks ago. I can't believe how big she is getting. We signed her up for school last month and she is very excited. Here's a picture of her in her new school t-shirt.

Mackey turns 3 next week and she is getting pumped about it. She got new bunkbeds in her room and thinks they're pretty cool. She is also turning into a good counter. She loves counting and calling out colors on different things. Also she is officially off the passeys. She had about 3 days of withdrawls, but she's clean now and on the wagon.

Tracy and I are heading to Milwaukee in a few weeks to see Zac and Jordan. Should be a good time. A little vacation for me and momma.

Jets vs Steelers

God damn it. How did Rex and the boys pull that off. Now they play the Steelers. I really hate the Jets, but I might just hate Hines Ward more. He just annoys the crap out of me. His million dollar fake smile doesn't fool me. Hines number one asset might be his ability to piss off the opposing team. I wish someone would just lay him out. I like Tomlin, Vikes should of kept him, Mendenhall, Ben, Troy, and pretty much the rest of there team minus James Harrison. So why does Hines bother me so much? I used to like the guy. He worked his way up the depth chart and played his butt off. It seems like after he won the first Super Bowl a switch flipped.

Anyways I can't stand Rex Ryan either but he just coaches. The Jets looked pretty solid last week against the Patriots. I didn't see any real weakness. I think Mark will have to have a 3 td passing performance to win this week.

Prediction Steelers 27 Jets 34

Steelers self-destruct early and can't pull off another comeback win.

Packers vs Bears.

Well like I said last week, Jay Cutler has a 3 int game. I don't think he's ready for this stage yet. But Rodgers is. The Pack are looking solid. Woodson and Williams have a field day picking off Cutler, while Rodgers throws for 2 scores and runs one in.

New Computer = New Blogger

Man, I've been out of commission for awhile. Early October my laptop took a dump on me and I kind of forgot about blogging. Well the Anal is back, with a new netbook and same old attitude.

My brothers have been blogging about sports predictions and it got me thinking that I should start posting some thoughts about sports. I mean if I told you the Chiefs were going to win the AFC west this fall, like I predicted, people would of laughed. That brings me to my preseason Superbowl picks. Packers vs Ravens. It still could happen, but unlikely. I like the Packers chances because the NFC is weak, but the Ravens have a rougher road to the Superbowl, so if they make it Joe Flacco will have to channel his inner Tom Brady.

Here are my NFL playoff predictions.

Ravens vs Steelers.

Wow, this is the game I'm looking forward to the most. Very similar teams. Both have a great young RB, great defenses, veteran safeties that could change the game, and tall QB's that came from smaller colleges. The difference is Mike Wallace. I don't think anyone on the Ravens is fast enough to cover this guy.

Prediction. Steelers 24 Ravens 17. Big Ben finds Wallace for 2 big gains throughout the afternoon and that will be the difference.

Packers vs Falcons.

Not a big fan of either of these teams. Probably because of nickname "Matty Ice" or maybe the Dirty Birds beating the Vikes in 98 and Packer fans still wearing those stupid cheese heads from the 90's.

Prediction. Packers 31 Falcons 14. With the Packers finding a running game, they have been missing all year, last week. I think they pull of the upset and "Matty Ice" melts down in his first important game of the season.

Jets vs Patriots

Man I hate Rex Ryan. I mean how class B can you be. Especially with a name like Rex. How old are you? I can just see him now in 2nd grade. The big fat kid who tries to make everyone laugh, then picks a fight with you if you don't. What a loser. Go eat some M&M's with John Daly. On the other hand, I really like what the Pat's have on defense. They are so young and talented. There defense should be able to keep them as contenders for the next decade.

Prediction Pats 21 Jets 10. Mark Sanchez has a terrible day. Rex Ryan has some pathetic post game press conference about it being personal and Tom Brady moves on.

Bears vs Seahawks

This one I thought was a closed case with Bears blowing out the Seahawks, but then I starting thinking about Jay Cutler and how much rides on his shoulders. Also the Seahawks looked like a one seed playing the Saints last weeks. Did you see Lynch's run? It might go down as one the best of all-time. Given the situation.

Bears 30 Seahawks 17. Matt Forte and the Bears defense pull it together. Jay Cutler puts up decent numbers, but his mental breakdown will happen next week. Seahawks magic runs out and Matt Hasselbeck plays in his last game as a Seahawk.

There are my predictions for this week. I'll post more after the weekend games.

Summer went by so fast. Should of updated this a few times. Here's a recap of the summer.

1. Went to the lake a bunch of times

2. Tornado came thru the lake. Trees everywhere

3. Worked up in GF for about 2 months this summer.

4. Andy moved to town.

5. Madison and Kenna are learning to swim.

6. Tracy is as beautiful as ever.

7. Was able to play tennis/golf more

8. Worked my butt off, yet had just about every weekend off.

9. Went to Zorbaz (couple times)

10. Can't believe the summer's over.

Summer is almost here

We had a few teaser days last month. Got up to almost 80 degrees. It's been awful here the last two weeks. Cold, windy, and rain. Yuck.

As indicated in my last post, we did go to the circus and the girls had a blast. McKenna kept saying wow, and Madison kept wanting to dance with Grandma for some reason. We only stayed for the first half, which was 2 hours long, then we went home.

We also went to Minneapolis 2 weeks ago and met up the Zac and Jordan. We had some good food and maybe a little too much good beer. Tom and Bruner also met up with us that Saturday. It was good seeing those guys. It's been a while.

Last week, Andy and Becca came over for a visit. We met Claire for the first time. She's such a good baby. The Bakkes have a good one there.

Anyways, update of the girls. McKenna is starting to say sentences and pronouncing her words more clearly. Its good, because now she can tell us why she is screaming. Madison is all about telling people she is going to kindergarden. It's still a year away, but she's pretty excited.

Birthdays

Since my last post. Madison turned 4, Mackey turned 2, and I turn 30 tomorrow. Madison had a little birthday party here on her birthday, then the next weekend we went to GF and celebrated again. We went to Spacealiens. She had alot of fun.

Mackey had a little party here couple of days ago. She actually blew out the candles. Surprised me. We are going to GF tomorrow and going to the circus for another little Mackey bday celebration.

I turn 30 tomorrow. Yuck. But I can honestly say that I have the best wife ever. This is the best birthday I have had. I got a new flat screen TV for our room, my parents are buying me a new tennis racket, and today I got a new car. We were supposed to trade in Tracy's Touareg for a Murano. But Tracy decided that we really need a pickup and surprised me when she wanted to buy a Titan. It was the best birthday surprise I ever had. Here are some pics for the birthdays.

I saw someone walking around with a blue tooth ear piece last night and god those people bother the sh@t out of me. Why do they have to talk so load on those things?? Are you trying in impress me? Cause you look like an uneducated fool, you hillbilly. People who just talk on cell phones don't stick out. But you with your blue LED light flashing on the side of your head sure does. Are your hands so tied up that you can't use your phone like a normal person. Oh yeah I forgot, you had a carton of USA Golds in one hand and diapers in the other. Jesus.

Another thing that bothers me are people that drive like a bad ass. Like a 35 yr old pealing out in the parking lot. What the F. Real cool in a 90 pontiac 6000. Why don't you buy something that deserves to peel out, then maybe I would understand. Oh yeah, you probably spent all your extra money on that bluetooth headset and the 8 nascar bumper stickers on the back.

One last thing. I really can't stand hour long tv shows that spend the first 15 minutes recapping the previous episode and the last 10 minutes previewing the next one. Just cut it down to 30 minutes. Thank god for Tivo.

One thing I did like was the movie Gran Torino. If you haven't seen it I would recommend it. Best movie I've seen since The Wrestler.

Well I've been back to work now for 2 weeks and it officially sucks again. The RR is so short of men they called me 5 times last night to work on my day off. Now my day is shot because I got no sleep. You think that after a year of being so short of men they would have called back 20 or 30 more guys. I guess not.

Macky delivered her first b*tch slap. We were at the mall and we had rented a 2 seater stroller for the girls. Well lets just say that Madison was sort of egging on Macky. So Macky wound up and slapped Madison right across the face. Our jaws dropped. It was kind of funny.

I got Madison's room done downstairs and I'm starting to finish Macky's now. Our plan is to finish that room off and put our house up for sale. We are thinking about moving to Moorhead possibly.

After 3 weeks of being laidoff. I got called back to work this week. I officially go back this Monday. It has been nice not worrying about the phone ringing at any time to go to work and staying home with the girls. Anyways it was a nice little vacation.

I also forgot to mention that I won the Lunak fantasy football league this year. 2 years in a row. Looking for some new blood next year if anyone wants to join. Its fun and you don't need to know much to play.

I also dusted off the old racket stringer last weekend and strung up one of my old rackets. It had broken string in there since 2001. But it's as good as new now. I also am asking for a new racket for my b-day coming up in April. Getting ready for the old doubles partner to get to town. I'm also thinking that Madison is going to start learning soon and I should have a racket ready.

Well I officially quit Facebook this week. Hopefully I can start posting here more often now. Got lazy.

Well the Lunaks had a good xmas. Madison and Macky got some good gifts. I'll post some pics. I got a new camera, which I really wanted. We spent a weekend in GF before xmas and spent xmas eve and xmas at Tracy's parents on Ottertail. It was really nice to have the time off.

Macky actually sleeps thru the night about 80% of the time now and her favorite word is "NO" Which is great. Can't wait for her to get out of this stage.

Madison is doing really well. She's like a little grown up. She'll tell you everyhing thats going on in her head. She will say stuff like "I think thats a good idea" and "you need to do this.....OK" She too smart for her age. Can't pull one by her anymore.

Tracy is good. Still at Food Service of America.

I'm currently laidoff, but I should be back to work soon. I'm currently a stay at home dad. Which is cool.

Just in case anybody still checks this thing, I figured I would post some updates.

First. Tracy is pregant again. Just joking. She isn't.

Second. Madison is potty trained. Thumbs up.

Third. Macky still doesn't sleep thru the night. Thumbs down.

Fourth. Offically are the proud owners of my parents back lot at the lake.

Fifth. Tracy started a new job at Food Service of America. Accounting Manager

Sixth. Decided to stay at our current house until Madison starts school.

Seventh. BNSF still hasn't hired back most of the people at dilworth. I'm working all the time.

Eighth. Currently tied for 1st place in Fantasy Football.

Not much in the new department at the Lunaks. Summer is going by way to fast. The girls spend a lot of time outside, so the nice weather is not going to waste. Here are some pics of them at the park. The other one is Madison after she got sent to her room. I can't remember what she was doing but she got in trouble, I told her to go to her room for a timeout and she freaked out and trashed her room. 15 minutes later I went in there to let her out and she passed out like that. I guess she was really tired.

Madison's whole potty training took a turn for the worse. She has no interest now in going on the toilet. So we have to come up with something she's getting too old.

Tracy starts a new job at Food Service of America this Monday. She's going to be in charge of there accounting dept. She's really pumped. My job is the same as it's been for the last 3 months. The called a few guys back that were laidoff. So things are slowly improving. Train traffic is starting to increase.

We have a lot and building plans picked out for a new house to build this spring, but we are hesistant to pull the trigger. The builder would buy our house from us to help the process but we are waiting for the economy to improve. We think it's starting to look better but you never know. It's a big investment.

Well we finally got our first family pictures taken couple weeks ago. They turned out pretty well. Things are starting to look up at my work. First time in about 6 months they are actually starting to add more jobs and call people back that were laid off.

The family made it out to Ottertail Lake last weekend to visit the Tamlyn's. We basically were on the lake all day. The girls love being outside. We also boated over to Zorbaz for dinner. They thought it was cool eating on the boat. Madison learned how to play candy land today and can't stop.

Well it's been a weird summer so far. They have laid off so many guys at my work that I'm one of the bottom guys now. It sucks because system wide BNSF traffic is down like 20%, but in Dilworth we are running at about 6% less than a year ago. So management in Fort Worth decided to cut jobs everywhere, even in places that aren't down as much as others. So everybody that still has a job in Dilworth is working there butt off. Morale is really bad. So haven't had that much time to get the house ready to sell, but I'm glad to still have a job. Also work related, I applied for a management job in Bismarck. It's an office job with set hours and days off. I don't even know what that is anymore. So I hope that will come through. They are also laying people off at Tracy's work. She is really stressed out and worried. I don't think she has anything to worry about, but you never now.

We have been looking at alot of houses recently but are afraid to pull the trigger with our work situations right now. We found a smaller 2 story in West Fargo that we both really like. The back yard faces a greenway/park area and there are baseball fields,parks, and a school across the street. It would be exactly what we are looking for. It's just a great area. I'll post a pic.

Madison and Mac are both doing great. Mac can almost run right now. She's a busy bee like her sister. Madison is getting old. She know when people are lieing to her and always has something up her sleeve. They both love the lake. We have made it out there 2 weekends already this year.

Well, McKenna turned one earlier this week. We have everything from the basement upstairs so we didn't have a party for her. She got shafted. But here are some pictures. She is also walking now. Getting old.

Madison is turning into a little diva herself. She can say complete sentences, count, sing ABCs. Still working on the dressing herself and potty training. She is getting excited for tennis this summer and the lake. We will see how it goes. That girl has more energy than she know what to do with.

Tracy has been applying for jobs in GF. We want to eventually move back there, but there are really no good jobs for her, unless she takes a big pay cut. So we will keep you updated on that situation.

We are also putting our house on the market this summer. Well hopefully in a couple of weeks. Our plan is that Tracy has a job in GF when the house sells. Plan B is to get a townhome or a apartment until Tracy gets a job in GF. That way we can get up and move with no commitments here. Plan C is to get a new house if Fargo. If the right house opens up in the right neighborhood in Fargo we would be tempted stay in Fargo. It will be interesting to see what happens.

Tracy and I also spent 4 days in Milwaukee last month. Zac and Jordan brought us to some really cool pubs and restaraunts. We will forsurely be going back there again. We had a great time.

But the flood has been comsuming our thoughts and time that last couple of weeks. River is supposed to crest again next weeks then we can put this behind us and get back to some consistancy.

It was my b-day yesterday. Happy Harrys was having a big sale so me and Tracy went there to check it out. We got 12 bottles of wine, liter of smirnoff, 24 pack of bluemoon. For 70 bucks. Can beat that. I guess the party is at our house. Anyways, hope everybody has a great easter.

Madison had her 3rd birthday party last weekend. She had a blast and got a lot of gifts. We went to Chucky Cheese. She was a little shy at first but had fun putting the tokens in the machine. I was also surprised that the pizza wasn't that bad, overpriced, but not that bad.

Next Thursday, Tracy and I, leave for Milwaukee. Going to spend 4 days there visiting Zac and Jordan. Josh is also coming. Should be a blast. It's going to be the longest that we have both been apart from the girls. Weird.

Also, mother nature dumped a ton of snow on us last night. Not good considering that my snowblower broke its belt last week. Not good for Robby. Anyway, the neighbor is renting a bobcat tonight and hes going to dig us out. Here are some pictures. It took me a long time just to dig a path for Tracy to get to work this morning.

Well not much new at the Lunak household. McKenna did learn to crawl since my last posting. So you have to keep a close eye on her now. We also bought a Touareg. Which I wasn't to big on at first, but now I love it.

What's Up

Hey, haven't posted in awhile, so I figured that some updating was due. Alot has happened since my last post. Like my LCD TV taking a dump on me. I had to return it and get a new plasma. It pissed me off because I bought a extended warranty with it and they told me that if I had any problems "just bring it back and we will exchange it with a new one, no matter what the price difference". Well that was BS. Because my old tv was 720p and the new ones are 1080p. So even though they were 42 inch lcd tv's, they were different and that warranty wouldn't apply. Mother F*&*ers. So I could either return it for my money back or send it in and get it fixed. 6-8 weeks. So I returned it and got a 42 inch Plasma. It's a way better TV, but I had to dish up an extra couple hundred dollars for it.

On a better note, Madison had a great Halloween. She got to go trick or treating and still has some candy left. She loves candy. I find open wrappers hidden around the house. I'll post some pictures later, internet is acting up.

Oh yeah, we had the family over for Thanksgiving this year. Everything went smoothly and will probably do it again. McKenna has been sick for the last couple weeks, she keeps getting ear infections and they gave her some sort of shot today. If that doesn't work she had go in for some 3 step shot, and if that doesn't work she might have something wrong with her ear canal and might have to have surgery. Poor little girl.

Well thats about it. Been working alot and that should end here any week. I guess the recession is starting to hit that RR and there might be layoffs this year. We will see what happens.

Hey, it's me Bobby Anal. Finally got done with my training last week. It seemed to just drag on for so long. I'm back working as a conductor and I don't think I realized how nice I had it for 2 months training.

Well, Tracy and I went to the Twin Cities last weekend. We met Josh, Jordan, and Zac there and went to a Vikings game. It was pretty sweet. We had a hotel right downtown and were able to walk everywhere we went, and the Vikes won.

Got back from KC last weekend. God it feels good to finally be home. Didn't really do much. Tom came that Saturday and we went downtown. That was the highlight of the trip. Otherwise a big waste of time.

Here are some pictures of my lawn. I had some dirt hauled in, and I wheelbarreled it to certain low spots. Then I tilled the back half and planted grass. We'll see how it goes.

I got a new position at my job. The official title is yardmaster. Kind of dorky, but it's kind of like an air traffic controller for trains. I leave for Kansas City today for 2 weeks for leadership and job training. Can't wait for some BBQ.

Well Zac got married couple weekends ago. Had a really fun time, and so did the rest of the family. Here are some pics. Hope you enjoy.

Had to work over the 4th, but got to go out to the lake that Saturday. So it wasn't that bad. Anyways, not much new here. Hopefully my backlawn will be seeded by the end of the month. It's still a work in progress. It just keeps raining every time I think I'm making progress.

Talk about a great tennis match yesterday. But it made me wonder about Wimbledon. How can a base liner Spaniard win there. I mean 10 years ago that would of never happened. Where are the matches were somebody puts up 40 aces. I think Roger had only like 9 through the first 3 sets. My brother told me that the courts are way slower now, I believe that. Pete Sampras back in his prime would of smoked Nadal, but maybe not now with the slower courts. Roger did seem out of it the first 2 sets, but still no excuse. My prediction is that Nadal's body will not be able to hold up much longer, he's 21-22 years old with knee problems. He's also a grinder, that doesn't go well with bad knees. He might be washed up by the time he's 25. Too bad, he's good for tennis.

McKenna Anne Lunak was born April 6th at 245 am. She weighs 6lbs 1oz. Shes just a small fry. But shes home now and everything went really good. As you can see Madison is very happy about her new sister. Here are some pics.

Hello everybody. It's Madisons birthday this Monday. She turns the big old age of 2. Her party is this Sunday. Everyones invited, if you are going to be in the area. 4432 48th st s.

On another note, has anybody seen this show on VH1 called Free Radio. It's one of my new favs. I can't stop laughing at it. I think that guy Lance plays his part perfect, so does his co-host. I would highly recommend it.

Here are some updates on the basement. New furniture arrives Wednesday. We were hoping to have it done by Madisons birthday, but oh well. Soon it will be done, then the bedrooms are next.

Well, 2 months before McKenna is here. Haven't really done any prep work. We are looking for a new bed for Madison so the baby can have her crib.

Here are some pictures of the basement. After 3+ months of taping and mudding, Tracy and I finally got the walls textured this weekend. Wasn't that bad, after all the prep work and cleanup was done.

It's official, we are having another girl. Madison's very excited. The baby's name is going to be Mckenna Anne Lunak. Not sure about how we are going to spell it.

Toby's Obituary

Toby Lunak, of Grand Forks, died Monday morning at Kindness Animal Hospital. Born in the winter of 95-96, she was adopted by Mary and Pat Lunak. She was known by many for her chewing of tennis balls, swimming in the Red River, terrorizing the local neighborhood, sitting shotgun in the white astrovan, and the occasional destroying of an encyclopedia. In her later years she enjoyed relaxing the Cable Lake. Her many nicknames included Cujo, Blackone, Tobyson, and Stroker.

Survivors include parents, Pat and Mary; part owners, Robb, Josh and Zac; twin sisters, Charlie and Teddy. (pictured below)

She was preceded in death by sisters; Sammy and Bailey.

Toby's ashes will be spread at Cable Lake,.

1. Work has been crazy busy. I've been putting in around 80hr weeks, but it hasn't been that bad untill lately. Getting burnt out, need to take some time off.

2. Went to a Vikings game last month. Pretty sweet. Historical game. Adrian Peterson broke the single game rushing record, and Antonio Cromartie broke a record of longest TD every. He ran back a missed GF 109.9 yrds. That record will never be broken.

3. Tracy's pregancy is coming along good. Everything looks good. We find out what the sex is next week, I think. Maybe 2 weeks, anyways it's pretty exciting. We both thought it was a boy at first, now we are thinking another girl.

4. Madison. She is growing up so fast. She's pretty smart, and loves to put on a show for guests. She a little showboat. Here is her showing off to her cousin, and walking around with a Dr Pepper box on. I cut a hole in it, so she can see. There is also a picture of me and her getting ready to go outside.

I can't believe how fast time is flying by. 3 weeks into the football season, Madison is already 18 months old, and we are expecting are second child. Hard to believe that I will be responsible for 2 babies now.

GRAND FORKS, N.D. (AP) - A body found in a coulee has been identified by family members as former Grand Forks city councilman Duane Lunak.
Police did not immediately release the name. But Cathy Galstad, Lunak's sister, said police confirmed her brother's identity Tuesday afternoon.
The partially-clothed body was found floating in the English Coulee near Altru Hospital in Grand Forks on Monday morning, police said.
Lunak lived in an apartment several blocks away, his sister said.
"We really don't know what happened," Galstad said.
An autopsy was scheduled for Tuesday night, Police Lt. Rahn Farder said

Here's is my front yard. It's growing pretty good. The grass near the road I killed. They are putting in a sidewalk soon.

Long Time

It's been a long time since my last post. I do have an excuse. Our computer was broken for the month of April. Had to bring it in to get fixed.

I've been spending alot of my free time doing home improvements. So I'm going to copy Heather and Brian and do a little post about it.

Heres a picture of the basement living room, right when you would walk in. You can see the framing me and my dad did. I also sheetrocked above. At a stand still until my dad can come to town with his pickup. I need some more studs.

This is going to be Madison's play area.

Here's a picture of the living room again. Hopefully there will be a fireplace and a flat screen TV on the wall. Going to have to wait a while for that, but it should be nice.

This is our front yard. I've recently worked up the soil and planted a test patch of grass. Wait and see if it grows.

This is a picture of the back yard. We are hoping there will be grass and a deck by summer's end. But it's a swamp right know. Lot's of weed pulling, and I also need some dirt hauled in to raise it up. It's lower than our neighbors so we have a small lake in our back yard. I'm thinking about dividing it up and selling lakeside lots. What do you think?? Lunak Lake Estates. Anyways lots of work, lots of dreaming, we'll see how far we get.

It was Madisons birthday last Saturday. She had much fun. I don't know how many toys a 1yr old needs, but she has tons. I also went back to work last Friday. I had not worked since Superbowl Sunday. It's been a shock to the system.

Tracy also got a promotion at work last week. It was an exciting week. Anyways I worked last night and have only gotten 3 hours of sleep, got to go. Here are some updated pics of the family.

I was doing the dishes this morning listening to the radio and I first heard song that was originally from Dirty Dancing but remixed. Then they played a remixed version of a SuperTramp song. Are the new artists today really that desperate. Whats next, a remixed version of Spices Girls or Ace of Base. I shouldn't even call these people artist. All I have to say is that these people are really creative.

Well, I haven't heard anything about the job in Kansas yet. I've almost given up on it, but I'm sure as soon as I do they will call me for an interview. Typical railroad procedure.

Last week I took an option the RR was offering. They pay you to sit at home. Not too bad. I get to be with Madison all day. I'm looking for another job right now to make some extra money in my spare time. Last weekend Tracy and I did a pracs study. As you guys might know, I can't stand giving blood. Well, they gave us a pill in the morning and some time goes by. Now it's time to give our first blood draw. I get up to the stand, clean my arm, and right when the lady is about to stick me a man comes charging in and yells "everybody stop". Here they gave us the wrong pill and the study was shot. So they paid us for 1/2 the study and I didn't have to give any blood. It's a miracle.

Speaking of Madison, she turns 1 on March 10. We are having a BB party. If anybodys going to be in the area let me know. I'll spend an invite. She learned how to clap and point, pretty cute. Here are some new pictures.

Well lets see. Its been a long time since I actually posted something. My work has been in the toilet lately. I'm very close to being laid off. BNSF has been laying people off around the country. Pretty soon it will be my turn. So I'm trying to get a job in Newton Kansas being an assistant trainmaster. It's about 20 miles north of Wichita. Tracy and I are pretty excited. She'll be able to great a much better job in Wichita. Plus I'm sick of the below zero weather.

Work has been really slow, so me and my dad are working on finishing the basement right know. It's kind of a slow process, but its getting there.

Madison is 10 months old now. Shes getting big. She learned how to crawl on Thanksgiving morning. I think she's a month away from walking, then you better watch out. Here are some pictures of her.

Hey everybody. Not much has changed. Only have been working couple days a week. Last week, in my spare time, I put in a garage door opener. It's pretty sweet. The family and I went to GF 2 weekends ago. Watched a little EDC tennis, had some dinner at the hub on Friday. I'll have to say that its just not the same. We also went over to Amanda's house and visited. I hadn't seen or talked to her, maybe since the wedding??

Here's a little thought of mine. How does the Vikings go from one of the best offenses in the league, to becoming a team that can't score 20pts to save there life. Sorry Brad J., it's time to take your weak arm and retire. They need someone that can throw the ball more than 20 yds. Maybe Brooks B. is the right guy?? Probably not, but it's sad knowing that if the Vikes could score 25pts a game. THEY WOULD BE UNDEFEATED.

Hey everybody. Finally got internet at the new place. Haven't blogged in awhile. Madison started daycare since my last one, and we also got all moved in. Also, Federer has won 2 major tournaments. He might be the best ever.

Speaking of tennis, on labor day we had a tourney at my parents lake. I took 3rd. Josh said I had him worried until 4 games in and then I ran out of gas. Here are some pics. I think there was a 16 person draw. Anyways here are some pics of Madison. Shes getting pretty big. See you later

Got back from Neb. yesterday night. It was so nice being home and seeing the family. We get to move into your house this weekend, so the timing couldn't have been any better. I have some sweet photos from a collision that happened in Neb, when I was there. They are in Adobe format right now, so I have to figure that out. Overall the trip wasn't too bad, I learned that the IQ level in western Neb. is quite a bit lower than in ND. Here is a picture I found online of an Alliance Neb. to Edgemont SD. run. I'll try to figure out those derailment photos, but if you guys want to really see them, I can email you the attachment. It's pretty impressive.

Here are some pictures from the Easter weekend. We went to GF on Saturday and Valley City on Sunday. Tracy's aunt and uncle live in VC. I went golfing for the first time this year in VC. It was terrible, I'm thinking about just disc golfing after that performance.

My brothers went out to my parents lake on easter and played tennis. There is going to be a family tournament there on memorial day. I guess they wanted to go hit on the court before then. I've only seen pictures of the court, it looks pretty nice. Here are some.

But anyways, me and tracy picked out countertops for the house today. Getting excited to move in. Can't wait to get out of this townhome. It drives me nuts living here.

Turns out Tracy, Madison, and I are staying in Fargo. Since Madison was born, our idea of leaving the area has changed. Fort Worth would have been great, but there wasn't any guarantee that we would of made it back to the area. So we put a down payment on a house today, we move into the house in July. I passed my FLS test a couple of weeks ago. I kind of forgot about it untill now. It's been a wild couple weeks. Tracy's grandma died the day before I took the test, and then this whole Ben Lunak thing. Tracy is also due the ninth. It's very exciting and also stressful. There's alot of stuff happening in the Lunak house.

But I passed and this summer we will be moving to Forth Worth, TX. Here is a picture or two of a place we are trying to rent. It sounds very nice and also allows dogs. Halle is very excited.

A Grand Forks man is in serious condition after the Humvee he manned drove over a roadside bomb in Ramadi, Iraq, over the weekend, according to his father.
Lance Cpl. Ben Lunak, 21, took shrapnel to his stomach and back and may lose part of his leg, his father, former City Council member Duane Lunak, said Monday.
The young man was bound and determined to head overseas, his father said. He traveled with his company, the Lima Company, part of the 3rd Battalion of the Marine Corps, to Iraq shortly after breaking three bones in his ankle, Duane Lunak said.
"He loved what he was doing," Lunak said.
Lunak and his ex-wife, Cindy, will head to Washington, D.C., with their 24-year-old daughter today to wait for their son, who is expected to be transferred there from Germany, where he is being treated for his wounds. Lunak said his son's condition must stabilize before he can be moved.
Although Lunak did not know the details surrounding the incident, he said he was told two other Marines were killed.
"They were patrolling on the Humvee. Ben was on top; he was blown out of there. The other two, his friends, they didn't make it," he said.
Wisconsin man dies
Separately, the Duluth News Tribune reported Monday that a Superior, Wis., Marine was killed by a roadside bomb Saturday in Ramadi.
Military officials hadn't publicly confirmed Lunak's injury or the death of Lance Cpl. Adam Van Alstine, 21, of Superior, as of Monday night, so it was not possible to know if the two were involved in the same attack.
Van Alstine's family told the News Tribune that three other members of his unit were injured.
"All I know is that he was on patrol. We don't know what happened," Van Alstine's sister, Dawn "Dee" Meyers, said in a phone interview with the News Tribune.
Van Alstine was a gunner on a Humvee, but the squad may have been out of the vehicle when the bomb exploded, friends and family members said.
Marine Corps officials told Meyers of her brother's death Saturday evening at her Cottage Grove, Minn., home.
Van Alstine's mother died in 2003 at the age of 46, just months before his graduation from Superior High School. Van Alstine's father died before he was born.
More than 2,290 Americans have died in the Iraq conflict since the beginning of the war in March 2003. Nearly 30,000 Iraqi civilians are estimated to have died as a result of hostilities.
'Doing fine'
Ben Lunak has been active in Iraq for the past four months, according to his father. He's been stationed near Ramadi, west of Baghdad, his father said. The two have kept in good touch, speaking on the phone several times a week and sending e-mail.
Ben Lunak left two voice-mails at his father's home Thursday.
"He said not to worry, he was doing fine," Duane said, his voice breaking with worry. "He's my best friend."
A 2002 graduate of Red River High School, Lunak joined the Marines in 2004 and completed training in San Diego and Twentynine Palms Marine Corps Base, Calif., his father said.
He was promoted to lance corporal fairly quickly, his father said.
"He could take pretty good care of himself," Lunak said.
Lunak heard the news that his son was wounded on Sunday. He's flying out for Washington, D.C., this afternoon.
"I just hope he's there when I get there," he said.

I just heard that Roger won the Aussie Open. He's going down as one of the best ever. He's like Pistol Pete, but with better hair. Anyways, speaking of tennis. Josh is the head coach of the men's and women's tennis team at SDSU. And just for the record, I haven't played since Oct. of 04, but I'm starting to get an urge to start playing.

Tracy is getting pretty big. It's hard for her to do much. After work she is wiped out. I kind of feel bad for her. I have a feeling that it's going to get much worse for both of us after the baby is born.

I also saw that Seattle was 3 point under dogs against the steelers. What a joke.

I haven't worked still. I had to participate in a safety marathon last night. 8 hrs of hell and I missed my trip for it. I currently am just going to Willmar and back. It's a pretty easy run. Anyways I'll have to get some pictures from work on this thing. A coal train derailed a couple of weeks ago, going 50mph. Coal dust and chunks were everywhere. It ripped the aluminum coal cars open like a soup can. I wish I had my camera. Sounds like Josh is going to be our nanny this summer, and move to Fargo. The weird thing, he is really excited. Surprised me.

Still haven't worked since the 3rd. But there is hope. I might work by the end of the week. Right now I'm trying to get into management. I have to get accepted to take a FLS test. If I pass the test, then I would go to Fort Worth TX, and work with my uncle there. I would be an assistant of his for the summer or maybe longer. Then I would get to transfer anywhere there is an opening for BNSF.

I talked to Josh, my brother, last night. He was at the HUB, enjoying a Hub Special. I'm jealous. Haven't been there since June. Got to love the special.

Life in Fargo is pretty boring. I haven't worked since January 3rd and I probably won't until the 11th or 12th. I get paid whether I work or not, so that's good. But I run out of things to do at home.
